Faux Exotic Hides

Mother Nature really outdid herself when she provided hides for some of the big cats and other exotic animals.  Long a favorite of  both nature collectors and interior decorators, some of these animals are now endangered and thus their hides are no longer available.  There are also folks who want exotic hides, but find them too expensive.  Finally an answer.
Someone observed that the size and shape of a tiger skin is virtually identical to that of a cow.  Both have four legs, a head and a tail, located in the same position.  They came up with a process to convert them into exotic hides.  First, the hide is carefully selected to have a solid color matching that of the desired animal.  Then the overlying pattern is stenciled on, sometimes in as many as five colors.  The cover about four by six feet and look great.  No backing, so you can use it as a scatter rug, hang it on the wall, or use it to cover your bed or sofa..
