The
Goliath is one of the heaviest known insects. They are from Africa
and are Scarab Beetles. The scarab beetles held a special place
in Egyptian mythology and were often used as decorative
elements. The Scarabaeidae family contains about 30,000
species. Scarab beetles are compact and heavy-bodied insects
robustly oval outlines. they are distinguished from other beetles by the
unique antennae - each of which terminates in three flattened plates
that fit together to form a club. the other edges of their front
legs are often toothed or scalloped to facilitate digging a burrow.
