Hand Microtome

Consists of a piston screwed into a tube whose free end if fixed
into a flat plate serving as a stage. The knurled head at
the bottom of the instrument moves the piston up and down when
rotated. The specimen is fixed on the flat top of the piston and
sections are cut by drawing a razor over the upper flat
surface. Graduated in 10-micron steps. Advances 500
microns for each complete term. Supplied with a single
edge tempered steel razor knife. Packed in a velvet lined
